Feedback Surveys

The Alliance Core Values include a focus on parent involvement, and small personalized environments for students. So it makes sense that our evaluation measures would include student and family perspectives about the teacher and school.

The Alliance has administered a Parent/Family Satisfaction survey for many years, and we will continue to use that same survey tool to gauge family perceptions. That survey data will contribute to a school-wide score in the evaluation measures, and will not be attributed to individual teachers.

In Spring 2011, we are piloting a new, research-based and validated measure of student perception called the Tripod. The Tripod Infobrief details the purpose, design, and data from the Tripod.  Depending on the outcome of the pilot, in which the Tripod is being administered to Pilot Teacher classrooms, we may adopt it as our student survey for all students in 2011-12.
