Welcome to the Alliance TCRP Site!

An Effective Teacher in Every Classroom

The Alliance for College Ready Public Schools, through The College-Ready Promise, is committed to improving the college-readiness rates of their students, ensuring that students who continue on to higher education are fully prepared to enter college-level courses. To achieve this, the Alliance is undertaking the several interrelated initiatives to ensure that all of our teachers  are highly effective and can accelerate academic progress for students who enter school far behind grade level.  See an inspiring video about how The College Ready Promise will impact California’s kids:

The goal of the Teacher College Ready is to increase student achievement by:

  • Setting clear standards and raising the bar for instructional excellence across the organization
  • Retaining highly effective teachers through recognition & reward
  • Reinforcing the value the Alliance places on great teaching

In addition to providing regular updates via blog posts, this site is a repository for resources related to Alliance implementation of The College Ready Promise. We hope this will be an interactive space where Alliance staff can respond to posts and resources, ask questions, make requests, and discuss all things TCRP. You can engage by commenting on our blog, participating in polls, and, as always, you can email your questions and requests for resources to the Vice President of TCRP Implementation, Diane Fiello <dfiello@laalliance.org>
